Pattern Notes
- Read through the full pattern before beginning.
- Work the main piece in continuous rounds unless otherwise stated. Do not join at the end of each round.
- Place a stitch marker in the first stitch of each round and move it up as you work.
- For clean color changes, change to the new color on the final yarn-over of the stitch immediately before the new color begins.
- Carry unused yarn only when it remains neat and does not show through the fabric; otherwise, cut and rejoin as needed.
- Begin stuffing during the decrease section before the opening becomes too small.
Part 1: Head and Top Features
1.1 Face Placement

Mouth: Using brown yarn (CC3), embroider a simple outlined mouth centered beneath the eyes, following the shape shown in the finished sample.
Tip: Do not permanently secure the facial details until you are satisfied that the expression is centered and balanced.

Part 3: Accessories
Ice-P does not require a separate accessory. The colorwork face and tummy, rosy blush, little wings and small feet create the character details directly on the finished penguin.
Part 4: Final Assembly and Shaping
- Check face: Confirm the eye placement between Rnds 10–11, 6 sts apart. Make sure the eyes appear level from the front.
- Blush and mouth: Embroider the blush across Rnds 13–14. Outline the mouth with brown yarn and center it beneath the eyes.
- Wings: Pin the wings between Rnds 12–13, about 18 sts apart. Adjust the angle until both sides look balanced, then sew securely.
- Feet: Pin the feet at Rnd 21, about 5 sts apart and aligned with the lower corners of the white tummy patch. Sew securely.
- Shape body: Gently roll and massage the stuffing between your hands to smooth uneven areas and restore Ice-P’s rounded silhouette.
- Finish: Weave all remaining yarn tails securely into the body.
